Paul Family Law Professional Corporation will be following public health recommendations to reduce the spread of COVID-19. We have been working remotely beginning Tuesday, March 17, 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments to our protocol as needed.
We are still here to help.
Our general phone line (905) 845-4314 will remain open and we will continue to monitor voicemails and emails.
While we are not meeting in person, to minimize the risk of in-person transition of COVID-19, all of our services are being offered remotely. We are leveraging technology as follows:
- Meetings are being conducted through video conferencing. We offer the use of Zoom, WebEx and BlueJeans platforms. Zoom includes the ability to create virtual rooms, so that shuttle mediation and caucusing are possible. Participants do not have to have any unusual technology. A computer with a webcam, microphone and speaker is ideal, but a smartphone works too. Lawyers and clients do not need to be in the same space.
- If video conferencing is not possible for some reason, we can use telephone conferencing.
- Documents are shared securely through ShareFile. Mediation and Med-Arb agreements, as well as any agreements reached by the parties can be signed digitally within moments through RightSignature. We will help answer any questions that you may have about how to use this technology.
Robina Khan offers mediation and legal services.
Cathryn Paul offers mediation and mediation-arbitration services.
We are happy to report that we have conducted individual screening appointments and mediations (with and without lawyers) using video conferencing with success.
We recognize that these are unprecedented circumstances and we will do our best to be there for our clients during these strange and difficult times.
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to reach out to us here at Paul Family Law Professional Corporation.
